Term 4, Teens Painting Program
Art can be a powerful outlet for creativity, confidence, and self-expression — and this 8-week Teens Painting Program is designed to nurture all three.
Starting Tuesday October 7th, 2025, this after-school program runs weekly from 4:00pm-5:00pm, and is perfect for teens who love art or want to explore painting in a relaxed, supportive studio space. Whether they’re drawn to abstract expression, storytelling through colour, or developing technical skills, this class offers both guidance and creative freedom.
Each session includes structured skill-building followed by time for personal exploration. Students will experiment with acrylic paints and mixed media while learning:
Colour theory and custom colour mixing
Brushwork and texture techniques
Composition and focal point creation
Concept development and creative planning
Emotional expression through visual elements
With encouragement from experienced artist facilitators, students will build confidence in their own style and grow both their technical and expressive abilities.

A: This class is designed for teens aged 13 to 17 years. If your teen is slightly outside that range, feel free to get in touch and we can advise.
Q: Do they need any prior painting experience?
A: No prior experience needed! Whether your teen is completely new to painting or already developing a style, they’ll receive guidance tailored to their level.
Q: What do they need to bring?
A: Nothing — we provide all art materials, including paints, brushes, canvases, and palettes.
Q: What kind of art will they make?
A: A mix of guided projects and open-ended painting time. Teens are encouraged to experiment with ideas, styles, and techniques — we provide structure without stifling creativity.
Q: Can this class help with school art or folio preparation?
A: Yes! It’s a great support for teens working on a school folio or preparing for VCE Art, offering both technical development and creative concept planning.
Q: Is the class NDIS-accessible?
A: Definitely. We support NDIS participants and can provide invoices or assist with plan-managed bookings. Teens may also attend with a support worker if needed.
Q: How do we book and pay?
A: Bookings can be made online or in person. We offer Afterpay and in-person payment options, and payment is only processed on the day of each class unless you choose to pay upfront (upfront bookings include a bonus brush set).
