Still have questions?
Here are a few things people often ask before getting started — and if you’re wondering something else, we’re always happy to chat.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! We supply all materials.
Do I need to stay with my child during the class?
You’re welcome to stay — or drop them off and enjoy a quiet hour.
We’re happy to support whatever works best for your child and family. We and coffee facilities along with a lounge area.
Is this a structured class, or more open-ended?
Each session includes a guided art activity led by a professional artist.
We provide structure — but always allow room for self-expression and gentle pacing.
Can I use my NDIS plan?
We’re happy to provide invoices for self- or plan-managed participants.
Can I use my NDIS plan?
We’re happy to provide invoices for self- or plan-managed participants.
Can I drop in and see the space first?
Absolutely. We know how important it is to feel comfortable before starting something new. You're welcome to visit the studio, meet one of our artists, and get a feel for the space — no pressure to book.
Do you cater for neurodivergent children or those with sensory needs?
Yes.
Our sessions are intentionally calm, with small groups, low noise, and sensory-friendly materials.
Let us know in the form if your child has specific needs — we’re happy to adapt.
What’s the cost, and how do we pay?
We’re currently finalising pricing based on interest, but it will be in line with our other group programs:
$35 per casual session
$280 for the full 8-week term (includes all materials)
If you’re enrolling more than one child, we’ll offer a small sibling discount.
Class minimums apply, and bookings will open once we’ve confirmed final session days.
Our Creative Founder.
Sam is the founder of Wangaratta Art School — a warm, inclusive space built on the belief that art should be accessible to everyone. As a solo mum, artist, and community worker, Sam brings a unique blend of heart, creativity, and purpose to everything she does.
She believes art is a chance to breathe — a calming, restorative experience that lowers stress and helps us reconnect with ourselves and others. At the school, all ages and abilities are welcome. Kids play while parents paint, and creativity is celebrated over perfection. There are no mistakes — just expression.
With values of community, acceptance, and freedom, Sam’s mission is to make art feel safe, joyful, and deeply human.
